<p><strong>Assistant Payroll Manager</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Location:</strong> Belfast</li><li><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time Permanent Hybrid Working</li><li><strong>Salary:</strong> £32,000 + per annum</li></ul><p>Reed Accountancy are delighted to be partnered with a respected organisation based in Belfast area in the appointment of an experienced <strong>Assistant Payroll Manager</strong> join their dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis.</p><p>The successful <strong>Assistant Payroll Manager</strong> will assist in managing a busy Payroll Department, ensuring accurate payroll processing and providing leadership in the absence of the Payroll Manager.</p><p><strong>Day-to-Day of the Role:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist the Payroll Manager in overseeing payroll procedures and maintaining payroll records.</li><li>Act as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and provide leadership to payroll staff when the Payroll Manager is absent.</li><li>Address employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies or payment issues promptly.</li><li>Assist in managing end-to-end payroll processing, including reviewing timesheets, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.</li><li>Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, taxes, pensions, and benefits.</li><li>Verify payroll reports before final approval and reconcile payroll nominal accounts.</li><li>Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities and support the preparation of tax filings and statutory returns.</li><li>Maintain accurate payroll records in accordance with retention policies and help manage HR/payroll software.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>A recognised qualification in UK payroll, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals with a minimum of two years within a payroll function, <strong>or </strong>a minimum of five years in a senior payroll position.</li><li>Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and employment law as it relates to payroll.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in payroll systems. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines.</li><li>Highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.</li></ul><p><strong>For more information, including package details, please contact Mary at Reed Belfast, apply via this advert, or contact me confidentially on LinkedIn</strong></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?G0hIdw8wptvwHXVDzrb0wkHfOayqDtvQq" width="0" height="0" />
