<p><b>Assistant Accountant / Part-Qualified Accountant </b></p> <p><b>Belfast (BT17)</b></p> <p>McKinty Associates are delighted to be working with a global manufacturing client who as an immediate need for an experienced Assistant Accountant<b> </b>to support their Finance Shared Service Team with financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.</p> <p> </p> <p><b> This position offers exam support and hybrid working </b></p> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></b></p> <ul> <li>Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting</li> <li>Support month-end and year-end close processes</li> <li>Intercompany processing with multiple entities in multiple currencies</li> <li>Completing weekly Bank Reconciliations and assisting with cashflow forecasts</li> <li>Maintain financial controls and ensure accurate records</li> <li>Prepare statutory accounts and management reports</li> <li>Respond to accounting queries and support system users</li> <li>Conduct financial checks and help resolve compliance issues</li> <li>Any other Relevant ad hoc finance or business support activities as required</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Eligibility criteria:</u></b></p> <ul> <li>Recent experience working as part of a busy accounts team (3-5 years' experience) Strong understanding of core accounting principles.</li> <li>Practical knowledge of computerised accounts packages.</li> <li>Strong IT skills including a high level of expertise in use of Microsoft Excel.</li> <li>Be highly numerate and comfortable working with multiple sources of information.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and workload.</li> <li>Ability to work within a team.</li> <li>Strong planning and organising skills.</li> <li>Good numeracy and time management skills.</li> <li>Keen eye for detail.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Applications for this role will be considered immediately with a view to placing the right individual ASAP, so please register your interest early.
