<strong>Interim Area SENCo</strong><strong>Location: Lambeth, Hybrid Working</strong><strong>Rate: £280 PD </strong><strong>Contract: 22nd June to July 31st</strong>We're looking for an experienced and strategic Area SENCo to join on an interim basis and play a pivotal role in improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).<strong>The role</strong><ul><li>Champion a joined-up, early intervention approach to SEND across educational settings</li><li>Provide targeted support to schools to improve teaching, learning, and inclusion for pupils with SEN</li><li>Help reduce exclusions and improve attendance for vulnerable learners</li><li>Support schools in building their capacity to meet diverse needs effectively</li><li>Develop strong partnerships across education, health, and wider services</li><li>Contribute to strategic planning, data analysis, and performance improvement</li><li>Lead and facilitate training, CPD, and school-to-school collaboration</li><li>Represent SEND services at key panels and meetings where required</li></ul><strong>What we're looking for</strong><ul><li>Proven experience as a SENCo within an educational setting</li><li>National SENCo Award and a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE)</li><li>In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, policy, and best practice</li><li>Experience working with senior leaders and multi-agency teams</li><li>A track record of driving early intervention strategies and improved outcomes</li><li>Confidence using data to inform decisions and measure impact</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills</li></ul><strong>Why Choose Ackerman Pierce?</strong>Ackerman Pierce calls upon over 15 years' worth of experience in recruiting directly into the Social Work Sector.
