The business has a strong track record of delivering high-quality housing schemes and places a strong emphasis on collaboration, quality and customer satisfaction.The organisation values in-person collaboration and team culture while remaining supportive of flexible working arrangements where possible.</p><p>Your new role</p><p>An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join the technical team based out of a Midlands office. You will play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple residential projects, taking responsibility for the coordination and production of detailed technical and construction information throughout the project lifecycle.This is a technically focused role offering exposure to a high volume of live residential schemes and close collaboration with internal departments and external consultants.</p><p>Your responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Producing and managing accurate, detailed construction and working drawings</li><li>Coordinating all technical superstructure information across multiple residential projects</li><li>Liaising with internal departments, consultants, contractors and statutory bodies</li><li>Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC and relevant standards</li><li>Supporting Principal Designer duties in line with CDM 2015</li><li>Managing consultant appointments, technical fee proposals and technical approvals</li><li>Undertaking value engineering exercises and ensuring buildability</li><li>Submitting information for Building Control, NHBC, SAP, EPC and Robust Details</li><li>Attending site to resolve technical and reconstructional issues</li><li>Chairing and attending pre-start and progress meetings</li><li>Coaching and supporting junior team members where required</li></ul><p>What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need:</p><ul><li>A background as an Architectural Technologist</li><li>A BTEC HND/HNC in Design, Construction or a related discipline</li><li>Significant experience within a technical role for a residential house builder or consultancy</li><li>Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction methods and residential detailing</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, along with good general IT literacy</li><li>Experience delivering projects to programme, budget and quality standards</li><li>Excellent organisational and time-management skills</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Commercial awareness and problem-solvers ability</li><li>The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities</li></ul><p>Desirable:</p><ul><li>MCIAT, MCIOB or equivalent professional qualification</li><li>CSCS card</li><li>Experience using Viewpoint drawing management systems</li><li>Experience managing technical fees and cost-to-complete</li><li>Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional development</li></ul><p>What you'll get in returnIn return, you will receive a competitive salary and an extensive benefits package, including:</p><ul><li>Competitive basic salary and annual bonus</li><li>Company car, car allowance or travel allowance</li><li>Salary sacrifice car scheme</li><li>Up to 33 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service)</li><li>Volunteering days</li><li>Private medical insurance (employee-paid cover)</li><li>Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave</li><li>Competitive pension scheme via salary sacrifice</li><li>Life assurance (4x annual salary)</li><li>Share schemes and employee rewards portal</li></ul><p>This role offers long-term career progression within a business that values technical expertise and continuous improvement.</p><p>What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this Architectural Technologist role, click Apply now to submit your CV, or contact me directly for a confidential discussion about your next career move.</p><p>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
