<strong>Job Title:</strong> Applications Engineer<strong>Location:</strong> Sheffield (Hybrid - 4 days onsite / relocation support available)<strong>Salary:</strong> Up to £60k (DOE) We're seeking a motivated Applications Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting cutting-edge electronic products. The successful candidate will act as a technical bridge between customers and internal teams, supporting product adoption, resolving technical challenges, and contributing to the successful deployment of advanced electronic solutions.<strong>About the Role</strong><ul><li>Provide technical support to customers, working closely with sales, field applications, and internal engineering teams to resolve complex queries</li><li>Support existing products and assist with the introduction and adoption of new technologies</li><li>Conduct lab-based testing, measurements, and experiments to support both internal development and customer applications</li><li>Develop application notes, technical documentation, and training materials in collaboration with marketing</li><li>Design and support reference design kits and evaluation platforms, including customer delivery and support</li><li>Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer sites</li><li>Build deep technical expertise across the product portfolio</li><li>Contribute to product development by feeding back customer and market requirements into engineering and product roadmaps</li></ul><strong>About You</strong><ul><li>Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline</li><li>5+ years' experience in applications engineering, design, or evaluation engineering within electronics, semiconductors, sensors, or related fields</li><li>Strong understanding of analogue and mixed-signal electronic systems</li><li>Experience supporting customer designs and handling product-related investigations, including returns where required</li><li>Familiarity with data analysis, modelling, and simulation tools</li><li>Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams</li><li>Proficient with high-speed or high-frequency systems (including RF or signal integrity)</li><li>Electronics experience including communication systems, Schematics, and PCB design</li></ul> Please note, we cannot offer sponsorship for the role.
