<p><strong>2nd / 3rd Line Support</strong></p><p><strong>Manchester</strong></p><p><strong>Up to £36,000 Permanent 35 hours per week</strong></p><p>An established education-focused organisation is seeking a 2nd / 3rd Line Support to lead infrastructure, network strategy, and IT service operations.</p><p>This is a hands-on team leader role, combining 2nd / 3rd Line support and team management responsibility.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Own and develop network and infrastructure strategy (LAN/WAN, switching, firewalls, Wi-Fi)</li><li>Manage and optimise Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and on-prem / hybrid environments</li><li>Oversee servers, virtualisation (e.g. Hyper-V/VMware), backup and disaster recovery</li><li>Provide and escalate 2nd / 3rd Line support across hardware, software, and network issues</li><li>Lead, mentor, and performance manage IT Service Desk Analysts</li><li>Ensure security, patching, compliance, and best practice standards</li><li>Drive continuous improvement and infrastructure resilience</li></ul><p><strong>Experience Needed</strong></p><ul><li>Background in network and systems infrastructure management</li><li>Proven experience delivering 2nd / 3rd Line support</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft stack (M365, Azure AD, Windows Server)</li><li>Experience with virtualisation, backup solutions, and endpoint management</li><li>Confident leading and developing IT teams</li><li>Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle</li></ul><p><strong>Package</strong></p><ul><li>Up to £36,000</li><li>30 days holiday + Bank Holidays</li><li>Christmas office closure</li><li>Local Government Pension Scheme</li><li>Free onsite parking</li></ul><p>Enhanced DBS and references required.</p><p>Please get in touch as soon as possible as we have interview slots for next week!</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?E%2fgP4FVXthXrqEu%2b5yKlVMBYS0sxroFmt" width="0" height="0" />
