An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Validation & Verification Engineer to join an established engineering team working on advanced electro-mechanical products within a highly regulated environment.
This role will focus on developing and implementing robust software and firmware V&V processes, creating effective test environments and supporting the delivery of reliable, high-quality products. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and play a key role in software quality throughout the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, document and execute software and firmware validation and verification activities
Create and maintain software test environments and processes
Support the design, development and testing of software solutions
Participate in Agile team activities including stand-ups, planning, reviews and retrospectives
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software systems
Maintain accurate technical documentation and test records
Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering projects
Work in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 procedures and company standardsSkills & Experience Required
Strong background in software validation and verification
Experience working across the full software lifecycle
Commercial experience with:
C
C++
C# .NET
Visual Studio
Experience within Agile/Scrum environments
Experience testing safety-critical functions
Ability to create and capture software/firmware test requirements
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Able to manage workloads and projects to agreed deadlinesDesirable Experience
LabVIEW
Embedded software development
Android/cross-platform application development
Understanding of electronics and schematic reviews
Experience working with electro-mechanical productsAdditional Information
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain SC level security clearance.
A full UK driving licence and valid passport are required as occasional customer and supplier visits may be involved.
