PCB Assembler Wireman

We are seeking a detail-oriented PCB Assembler / Wireman to join our client's manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling printed circuit boards using various techniques and tools, ensuring high-quality standards are met. What's On Offer Location: Eastbourne  Work Type: Permanent, Full-time  Salary: Competitive Key Responsibilities Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to accurately position and secure components Inspect assembled PCBs for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with quality standards Follow detailed technical drawings and assembly instructions to complete tasks efficiently Assist in troubleshooting minor issues during assembly and report any major concerns to supervisors Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulationsRequirements Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) and traditional assembly methods Electrical experience or background in electronics is highly desirable Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous Mechanical knowledge related to component fitting and PCB handling Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Prior experience with electrical or electronic assembly is preferred but not essential Good organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this roleThis position provides a valuable entry point into the electronics manufacturing industry, offering opportunities for skill development and career progression within our client's organisation.
