Panel Wirer – Contract (Outside IR35) Location: Ferndown Employment Type: Contract – 2–3 months initially, potential to extend Hours: Day shift, 38 hours per week with some flexibility Agency: Actio Recruitment The Opportunity Actio Recruitment are supporting a well‑established manufacturing business in Ferndown who require an experienced Panel Wirer to join them on a contract basis. This is an outside IR35 assignment, ideal for a skilled contractor who can hit the ground running in a busy production environment. What You’ll Be Doing * Wiring control panels, cabinets, and associated assemblies to engineering drawings * Building electrical panels from scratch, including layout, drilling, tapping, and component mounting * Working from schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials * Carrying out point‑to‑point wiring, crimping, looming, and cable routing * Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards * Supporting wider production teams where required What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a Panel Wirer, Electrical Assembler, or similar * Confident reading and interpreting electrical drawings * Strong practical wiring and assembly skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * A professional contractor who can deliver high‑quality work to tight deadlines Contract Details * Outside IR35 * 2–3 months initially, with a strong chance of extension * Day shift, 38 hours per week * Some flexibility available around start/finish times If you’re an experienced Panel Wirer looking for your next contract and available at short notice, Actio Recruitment would like to hear from you.
