Manufacturing Manager (Melting department)

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are working with fast growing Engineering & Manufacturing company Overview We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager (Melting) to lead a Melting department within a well-established manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for departmental performance across safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost, offering the opportunity to drive operational excellence and develop a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team, driving performance, engagement, and succession planning Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all HSE standards Deliver improvements in productivity, efficiency, and operational performance Manage quality standards, audits, and continuous improvement activities Collaborate with planning and supply chain teams to maintain production flow Control departmental budgets and identify cost-saving opportunitiesAbout You Proven experience in manufacturing or process-led environments Strong leadership and people management skills Experience driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives Commercially aware with experience managing costs and performance Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies (desirable) Experience within a melting, forging, casting, steel manufacturing or heat treatment (hot working) background would be highly advantageous, although other Manufacturing industries may be considered.What's on Offer Senior leadership role with high autonomy Opportunity to lead a critical production function Work within a performance-focused, continuous improvement environment Up to 15% bonus - paid quarterly Pension & Healthcare
