Maintenance Engineer (Plumber)
Annual Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours a week)
12 Month (FTC) with the possibility of becoming permanent

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Plumber) to join the facilities maintenance team at a leading global company that specialises in mechanical solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to provide reliable, safe, and efficient plumbing maintenance support within a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on water supply, drainage, air pipework, and wastewater systems
Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and failures in pipework, valves, and fixtures
Maintain and repair floor drains, grease traps, sumps, and foul water systems
Install and modify pipework (plastic, copper, steel) as required
Support minor industrial plumbing systems and assist with air pipework connections
Conduct routine inspections and assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Ensure compliance with water hygiene standards and relevant plumbing regulations
Work collaboratively with electricians, fitters, and other maintenance personnel
Participate in emergency call-out response when necessary
What We're Looking For:
Recognised plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; NVQ Level 2/City & Guilds considered)
Experience in domestic plumbing with exposure to light industrial or commercial environments
Understanding of water supply, drainage, sanitary pipework, air pipework, and evaporative cooling towers (desirable)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to read basic drawings and maintenance instructions
Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
Additional Information:
