Logistics Coordinator

SourceCo Recruitment are looking for a Logistics Coordinator for a long-term client in the heart of Redditch. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently across the UK. The Working Hours: * Tuesday to Friday 19:00pm - 07:00am (will include some weekend working) Your Responsibilities: * Manage customer enquiries and orders via phone and email * Plan, book, and track shipments across road and airfreight services * Provide accurate quotations for UK and European transport * Source and liaise with transport suppliers to deliver cost-effective solutions * Handle time-critical and line stoppage situations with urgency * Maintain regular communication with customers, providing updates on job progress * Ensure accurate system input, job completion, and documentation management (PODs, purchase orders, etc.) * Review routes and suppliers to maximise efficiency and profitability * Coordinate closely with warehouse, operations, and accounts teams * Monitor KPIs and ensure service levels are consistently achieved * Maintain accurate system data and ensure timely file closure and invoicing readiness The Ideal Candidate will have: * Proven experience within transport planning or freight forwarding * Strong knowledge of UK and European transport operations * Experience with time-critical, airfreight, and road freight solutions * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Highly organised with the ability to prioritise under pressure * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in system/data management * Computer literate (MS Office and transport systems) * CPC qualification (advantageous but not essential) If you’re organised, solutions-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment we want to hear from you!
