HGV Trailer Technician Location Southam Salary £45k – Days Monday to Friday Job Type Full-Time | Permanent About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Trailer Technician to join our growing workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of HGV trailers to ensure they remain safe, compliant, and roadworthy. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on HGV trailers Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults Complete MOT and DVSA preparation work Perform brake, suspension, axle, and lighting repairs Attend breakdowns and roadside repairs when required Accurately complete job cards and maintenance documentation Ensure all work is completed to company and DVSA standards Maintain a safe and clean working environment Work effectively both independently and as part of a teamRequirements Previous experience working as an HGV or Trailer Technician Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Knowledge of trailer braking, suspension, and electrical systems Ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication and organisational skills Full UK Driving Licence HGV Licence beneficial but not essential IRTEC qualification advantageousWhat We Offer Competitive salary with overtime opportunities Company pension scheme Ongoing manufacturer and technical training Career progression opportunities Supportive and experienced workshop team Modern workshop facilities and equipment Holiday allowance plus bank holidaysApply Now If you are a skilled HGV Trailer Technician looking for your next opportunity, we would like to hear from you.
