Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor/Tutor

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor / Tutor to join their delivery team based in Blandford Forum. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established training provider supporting Armed Forces personnel, offering a rewarding role where you will directly contribute to the development of future engineering talent. This position involves delivering and assessing the Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship programme, supporting learners throughout their journey from induction through to End Point Assessment. You will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering a mix of one-to-one and group-based learning, ensuring learners remain engaged, motivated and on track. This role is ideally suited to an ex-Royal Signals candidate with an electrical engineering background who is looking to transition into a training and mentoring position while remaining closely connected to the Armed Forces environment. Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor / Tutor Responsibilities: * Deliver apprenticeship training through a combination of one-to-one and group-based sessions. * Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback and support progression. * Carry out learner inductions and ongoing progress reviews. * Maintain accurate learner records using e-portfolio systems. * Identify and support individual learner needs to ensure successful completion. * Motivate and guide learners throughout their apprenticeship journey. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure quality and compliance standards are met. Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor / Tutor Requirements: * Must have a Royal Signals background with an electrical engineering bias. * HNC or equivalent experience within an engineering or electrical discipline. * Previous experience in coaching, mentoring or training within a workplace environment. * A teaching or assessor qualification, or willingness to work towards. * Strong communication and organisational skills. * Confident using digital systems and maintaining accurate documentation. * A learner-focused approach with a passion for supporting development.
