Electrical Estimator – Cambridge Location: Cambridge Salary: Circa £65,000 - £75,000 + Car Allowance A leading Tier 1 M&E contractor, renowned for their design, installation and commissioning of M&E systems on some of the UK’s most iconic construction projects, is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to support a growing pipeline of commercial and infrastructure projects across the region. With several key strategic hires planned over the coming months, this is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading business with a strong reputation for delivering high-profile projects across the UK. The Role As Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of electrical packages across major projects. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure commercially viable and technically compliant tenders are submitted. This position will be based from the company’s Cambridge office, supporting projects across multiple sectors. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks Liaise with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams Support bid presentations and tender negotiations Maintain accurate cost databases and estimating records Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E / Building Services sector Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes Experience pricing large-scale commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills Ability to work to deadlines within a fast-paced environment Relevant industry qualifications preferred Package Circa £65,000 - £75,000 salary Car allowance Long-term secured work pipeline Opportunity to work on high-profile UK construction projects Clear progression opportunities within a leading Tier 1 contractor If you would like to know more, please get in contact with Harry Severn at ARC
