About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join a new, ambitious, and fast-growing sales team in a newly created position based at our modern offices in Gravesend.
As an Internal Sales Executive, you'll play a key role in supporting sales, helping to grow our customer portfolio while delivering exceptional service to existing clients. This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same - from handling enquiries and preparing quotations to proactively identifying new business opportunities via phone, email, and online research.
You'll be joining a supportive environment where ongoing product training and personal development are genuinely valued. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Support
Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts, building strong relationships and encouraging repeat business
Respond to incoming enquiries and follow up on leads generated by the external sales team
Convert opportunities into sales through proactive communication and consistent follow-up
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
Work closely with field sales colleagues to provide a seamless customer experience
Maintain accurate customer and sales records within the CRM system
Marketing & Product Development
Conduct outbound calls to existing customers to promote products and services
Research and qualify potential leads before passing opportunities to the field sales team
Support marketing campaigns and new product launches
Gather and share customer feedback on products, market demand, and competitor activity
Collaborate with the marketing team to help deliver effective sales campaigns
Keep up to date with industry trends, product innovations, and market developments
Collaboration & Coordination
Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service
Contribute to monthly sales reviews and performance reporting
Support continuous improvement initiatives across processes and customer experience
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
Confident, resilient, and adaptable with a positive attitude
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport over phone and email
Commercial awareness and an interest in market trends
Comfortable working towards sales targets and KPIs
Well organised, self-motivated, and confident using IT systems including Outlook, Excel, and CRM platforms
Desirable
Previous experience in an account management or internal sales role
Experience within packaging, trade, manufacturing, or B2B environments would be advantageous
