Job Description: Approved Electrician – South Coast About the Company Our client is an established Electrical & Mechanical contractor delivering projects across the South Coast. They work heavily within secure and regulated environments including MOD sites, police facilities, schools and commercial/industrial premises. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Approved Electrician to join their expanding team. The Role The successful candidate will carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and remedial works across a variety of commercial and industrial projects throughout the South Coast. Key Responsibilities • Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and remedial works • Testing, inspection and fault finding on commercial and industrial systems • Installation of lighting, power and distribution systems • Work across MOD, police, educational and commercial environments • Complete electrical testing and certification accurately • Ensure all works are completed in line with current regulations and health & safety standards • Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism on client sites • Work independently and as part of a wider engineering team Requirements • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent • 18th Edition qualification • Approved Electrician status • Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent preferred) • ECS/JIB Gold Card preferred • Experience within commercial and industrial environments • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills • Full UK driving licence • Able to pass security clearance checks where required Package & Benefits • Company van provided • Fuel card provided • 28 days holiday including bank holidays • Pension scheme • Overtime paid at x1.5 • Sunday overtime paid at x2 • Ongoing training and development opportunities • Stable long-term work across the South Coast Working Hours Monday to Friday with overtime opportunities available.
