This role will play a key part in contributing to projects, objectives, and wider organisational goals. </p><p></p><p> Key Responsibilities </p><p> * Manage delivery and project management of supply chain investments </p><p> * Lead engagement with companies to screen initial investment propositions </p><p> * Support commercial negotiations and lead on the production of supporting materials to drive the decision-making process through GBE and government - including DESNZ and HMT </p><p> * Engage across the DESNZ, GBE and public financing ecosystem to develop relationships and identify investment opportunities </p><p> * Prepare briefings, analysis, and documentation for senior leaders </p><p> * Engage and coordinate with stakeholders across government and industry </p><p> * Support on the design of the Investment fund and wider strategy for GBE's supply chain team </p><p> * Lead discrete workstreams and potential line management of Band B Investment Support Officers </p><p></p><p> Qualifications and Experience </p><p></p><p> Essential: </p><p> * Experience delivering commercial agreements with the private sector </p><p> * Experience in structuring and managing investments or other financial transactions, for example within but not limited to equity investments, concessional finance or debt financing </p><p> * Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills </p><p> * Confidence managing stakeholders and multiple priorities </p><p> * Good team-working and leadership potential </p><p> * Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly </p><p></p><p> Desirable: </p><p> * Knowledge of UK energy sector or supply chain investment </p><p> * Familiarity with legal or financial documents, experience of commercial negotiations, or leading/managing due diligence or valuations </p><p> * Experience of financial modelling, either building or analysing models to assess investment scenarios </p><p> * Experience supporting or managing staff </p><p> * Awareness of industrial strategy or net zero policy </p><p> * Recognised financial qualifications, e.g. CFA or equivalent experience </p><p></p><p> Personal Qualities </p><p> * Takes ownership, shows confidence in decision-making, and is willing to challenge constructively </p><p> * Focuses on delivering meaningful outcomes and making a positive, lasting impact </p><p> * Works collaboratively, valuing different perspectives and building inclusive relationships </p><p> * Proactive and adaptable, with a curiosity to explore new ideas and improve ways of working </p><p> * Resilient and resourceful in a fast-paced environment </p><p></p><p> What We Offer </p><p> * Competitive base salary </p><p> * Performance-related bonus scheme </p><p> * Excellent pension scheme </p><p> * 4x salary life assurance </p><p> * Group income protection </p><p> * 38 days annual leave </p><p> * Flexible working arrangements </p><p> * Ongoing professional development and training </p><p> * Supportive, inclusive working environment </p><p></p><p> How to Apply </p><p></p><p> For further information please contact: </p><p></p><p> Egle Bulatovaite - Specialist - Talent Sourcing </p><p> Or click the Apply button now. </p><p></p><p> Application Close Date: 12th May 2026</p><p></p>
