```About Us```<br> The Penmere Manor Hotel is a 3 star privately owned Hotel in Falmouth, Cornwall, and we are looking for an experienced FULL TIME Sous Chef to join our friendly brigade. <p></p>``Job Summary: <br> The Penmere Manor Hotel are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team. <p></p> As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be hands on within the kitchen to ensure the smooth running of the the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production, and providing exceptional hospitality to our guests. <p></p> You will have the ability to work all sections as required. <p></p> Responsibilities:-<br>- To deliver menus and service and take charge of the kitchen on the Head Chef's days off <p></p>- Help manage and supervise kitchen staff, including the training of any staff within the kitchen <p></p>- Help encourage a positive working relationship within the business <p></p>- Achieve high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen <p></p>- Assisting with achieving food cost targets <p></p>- Take responsibility in running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef <p></p>- Oversee food preparation and production to maintain high standards of quality <p></p>- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction <p></p>- Develop and implement menu items, taking into consideration customer preferences and dietary restrictions <p></p>- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed <p></p>- To cover and help where necessary <p></p>```Experience```<br>- Has a minimum of 2 years' experience in a hotel or restaurant to at least Demi-CDP level <br>- Experienced in most aspects of food preparation such as butchery, fish prep and sauce <br>- Has the ability to organise, plan and prioritise <br>- Demonstrates the ability to consistently deliver a quality product <br>- Works in a clean and tidy, and well organised manor <p></p> A minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen is required for this role. <p></p> A suitable opportunity to develop further and expand your skills <p></p> Hours will be *30 - 36 hrs* per week, including split shifts, and weekends. <p></p> As the Hotel is family owned it closes for both the Christmas and New Year period. <p></p> References will be required, pro-rata holiday pay entitlement and employee pension scheme. <p></p> All staff receive a share of the tips fund after completing a 3 month probationary period. <p></p> To apply please send a CV for the attention of Nick Moore, General Manager to nick@penmere.co.uk. <p></p> Pay: £14.50 per hour <p></p> Expected hours: 30 – 36 per week <p></p> Benefits: <br>* Company pension <br>* Free parking <br>* On-site parking <p></p> Experience: <br>* Chef: 2 years (required)<p></p> Work authorisation: <br>* United Kingdom (required)<p></p> Work Location: In person
