<p><p> Site Engineer (Civils)</p><p> Permanent </p><p> Location: Scotland </p><p> Salary: £40,000-£55,000 DOE + tax-free subsistence + benefits package </p><p> Ref: GR1493</p><p> Gibson Recruitment Limited </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b> Job Description: </b></p><p></p><p> Multi-national Civil Engineering contractor who, due to the award of prestigious new contracts in Scotland, have a requirement for a SITE ENGINEER to join their team. </p><p></p><p> The business typically undertakes large scale infrastructure works, and this opportunity presents a perfect time to join as they expand their operations in Scotland. </p><p> </p><p> Applicants MUST be based in Scotland and, due to the nature of work, be willing to work away from home (within Scotland) when necessary. </p><p> </p><p> Accommodation & tax-free subsistence, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, is on offer on top of the salary. </p><p></p><p><b> </b></p><p><b> </b></p><p><b> Role & Responsibilities: </b></p><p></p><p>· Oversee the daily site operations and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications. </p><p>· Set out works and verifying levels, alignment, and measurements. </p><p>· Work collaboratively with contractors, suppliers, and project teams. </p><p>· Identify risks to project success and resolve or escalate these promptly. </p><p>· Conduct progress reviews and provide updates to site management as required. </p><p>· Inspect materials and completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality. </p><p>· Ensure adequate permits are received before commencing any site activities. </p><p>· Address any issues with non-compliance or poor quality, escalating and reporting, as necessary. </p><p>· Promote safety as a core Company Value, in all activities. </p><p>· Identify, report, and correct any safety concerns, escalating where required. </p><p>· Work with HSEQ and Sustainability teams to meet our objectives and communicate updates. </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b> Essential Criteria: </b></p><p></p><p>· CSCS Card. </p><p>· Demonstrable experience as a SITE / SETTING OUT ENGINEER on civil engineering projects (minimum 2 years). </p><p>· Civil Engineering qualification (HNC upwards)</p><p>· Understanding of modern setting out equipment. </p><p>· Hold a full driving license. </p><p>· Flexibility to travel and work on different projects across Scotland. </p><p>· IT Literacy in Microsoft Packages. </p><p>· Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal. </p><p>· Awareness of issues impacting the construction of Civil Engineering projects. </p><p>· Awareness of Health and Safety regulations and best practice. </p><p>· Experience of supervising others, including subcontractors. </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p><p><b> What to do next: </b></p><p></p><p> If this role sounds of interest and you would like to be considered, please apply with your updated CV, or contact Graeme on the details below. </p><p></p><p> If this role is not for you but you would like to have a conversation regarding your next career move, don't hesitate to give us a call, in confidence. </p>
