Would you like to work directly with clients and shape how real businesses operate? </p><p></p><p> If so, Thirdsound ICT is looking for you. </p><p></p><p> We are building a next-generation digital operations platform for a large UK food producer supplying major supermarkets including Tesco and M&S - replacing manual, paper-based workflows with a scalable, cloud-based system. </p><p></p><p> This system will form the foundation of a broader platform we intend to enhance and develop over the long term, building on real-world operational requirements. </p><p></p><p> This includes: </p><ul><li> Order intake and load planning </li><li> Pallet tracking and scanning </li><li> Real-time operational dashboards </li><li> Integration with external systems (EDI, ASN, retail platforms) </li></ul><p></p><p> This is not a narrow dev role. You will work alongside the Founder (solution architect) and a domain specialist to design and build the system end-to-end. </p><p></p><p><b> The Role </b></p><p></p><p> You will be responsible for designing and delivering software aligned to real business operations, including: </p><ul><li> Translating complex workflows into scalable system designs </li><li> Building full-stack applications and integrations </li><li> Developing a cloud-based platform (Azure) with real-time data flows </li><li> Working directly with stakeholders to refine and improve the solution </li><li> Owning delivery across all phases: analysis -> design -> build -> rollout </li></ul><p></p><p> This role requires independent thinking, strong communication, and precise execution. </p><p></p><p><b> A Successful Candidate Must Have </b></p><ul><li> High integrity, reliability, and quality of work </li><li> Strong problem-solving ability and systems thinking </li><li> Proven experience delivering production-grade software systems </li><li> Ability to design systems, not just implement tickets </li><li> Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders </li><li> A hands-on, ownership mindset </li><li> Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment </li><li> Curiosity and drive to continuously improve </li><li> Willingness to take responsibility end-to-end </li></ul><p></p><p><b> Key Areas of Responsibility </b></p><p></p><p><b>1. System Design & Architecture </b></p><ul><li> Design modular, scalable systems aligned with operational workflows </li><li> Define data models, APIs, and integrations </li><li> Translate real-world processes into technical solutions </li><li> Contribute to architecture decisions across cloud and application layers </li></ul><p></p><p><b>2. Software Development & Delivery </b></p><ul><li> Build and maintain full-stack applications </li><li> Develop integrations between systems (APIs, databases, third-party platforms)</li><li> Deliver secure, performant, production-ready code </li><li> Ensure scalability and maintainability </li></ul><p></p><p><b>3. Project Lifecycle Ownership </b></p><p> Work across all phases of delivery: </p><ul><li> Analysis (requirements, workflows, stakeholder input)</li><li> Design (architecture, UI concepts, data flows)</li><li> Build (development and integration)</li><li> Testing (validation, iteration)</li><li> Deployment (pilot, rollout, handover)</li></ul><p></p><p><b>4. Client Collaboration & Consulting </b></p><ul><li> Work directly with client teams on-site and remotely </li><li> Participate in workshops, interviews, and process mapping </li><li> Provide technical recommendations based on best practice </li><li> Translate technical solutions into clear business outcomes </li></ul><p></p><p><b>5.
