<p><b> Position: </b> Sales Account Manager <p><b> Location: </b> Sheffield, South Yorkshire </p><p><b> Salary: </b>£30-45K, commensurate with experience </p><p></p><p> Nicholas Associates has an excellent opportunity for a Sales Account Manager, to join an established client in the Sheffield area. </p><p></p><p> You will be responsible for leading the Fabrication Department, driving profitable sales growth, owning technical and commercial risk, and ensuring quality, delivery, and process discipline. </p><p> This role acts as the single point of accountability for Fabrication performance, bridging commercial strategy, technical validation, and operational delivery. </p><p></p><p><b> Key responsibilities include: </b></p><ul><li> Overall sales performance and profitability of the Fabrication division </li><li> Define and drive the Fabrication sales strategy in line with business objectives </li><li> Develop and maintain key customer relationships and strategic accounts </li><li> Proactively identify and convert new business and complex fabrication opportunities </li><li> Drive quotation follow-up & customer engagement </li><li> Maintain oversight of the sales pipeline, capacity alignment, and workload balance </li><li> Lead recovery, retention, and growth of existing Fabrication customers </li><li> Act as the technical authority for Fabrication quotations and commitments </li><li> Oversee technical interpretation of drawings, specifications, and standards </li><li> Authorise and control scope changes, technical amendments, and re-work decisions </li><li> Ensure delivery commitments are realistic, validated, and controlled </li><li> Lead, develop, and support Sales Executives and Technical Processors </li><li> Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams </li></ul><p></p><p><b> You will: </b></p><ul><li> Be confident developing new and existing customer relationships </li><li> Be experienced in engineering / fabrication / manufacturing sales </li><li> Be able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness (margin, risk, delivery realism)</li><li> Be able to work effectively with technical teams to achieve desired outcomes </li><li> Have a proven track record of generating and developing opportunities directly </li><li> Have proven leadership skills, coaching & mentoring </li></ul><p></p>
