<p><p> Quantity Surveyor – Refurbishment works. </p><p> Permanent </p><p> Location: Home Working with sites in Glasgow & Edinburgh </p><p> Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 DOE + benefits </p><p> Ref: GR1528</p><p> Gibson Recruitment Limited </p><p></p><p></p><p><b> Job Description: </b></p><p></p><p> A major Building contractor who are known as a real market leader in their field, delivering large scale construction projects the length and breadth of the UK. </p><p></p><p> This arm of the business specialises in Refurbishment & Building Improvement works. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The successful Quantity Surveyor will play an important role within the Commercial Team, working closely with project delivery teams to manage project costs, procurement, and commercial performance across a range of refurbishment and building improvement works. </p><p></p><p> This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the continued growth and success of the business while developing their professional career within a supportive environment. </p><p></p><p> The role will be primarily home-based working; however, applicants should be based in central Scotland within commuting distance of sites in Glasgow and Edinburgh. </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b> Responsibilities: </b></p><p></p><p>· Manage commercial and contractual arrangements associated with client projects. </p><p>· Support the pricing, negotiation and agreement of project costs, budgets, and variations. </p><p>· Monitor project financial performance and assist in controlling costs and expenditure. </p><p>· Procure subcontractor packages and materials to support project delivery. </p><p>· Prepare subcontract documentation and manage commercial relationships with suppliers. </p><p>· Monitor project progress against budgets and identify financial risks or opportunities. </p><p>· Assist in preparing and submitting interim valuations and agreeing final accounts. </p><p>· Maintain accurate financial records and project cost reporting. </p><p>· Prepare financial and management reports to support project monitoring. </p><p>· Liaise with project teams to ensure commercial awareness across projects. </p><p></p><p></p><p><b> The successful candidate will possess: </b></p><p></p><p>· Degree in <b> Quantity Surveying </b> or a related construction discipline </p><p>· Experience working within the <b> construction industry (refurbishment works). </b></p><p>· Strong knowledge of <b> cost control, procurement, and project valuation processes </b></p><p>· Proficiency <b> in Microsoft Office applications </b></p><p>· Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. <b> RICS </b>) – desirable </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b> What to Do Now: </b></p><p></p><p> Please apply now with your most up to date CV or call Graeme on the details below for more information. </p><p></p><p> If this role is not for you but you would like to have a conversation regarding your next career move, do not hesitate to give us a call, in confidence. </p>
