North Ayrshire HSCP have been developing a Brighter Pathways Programme in order to consider how best to serve our infants, children, young people and families. This Programme includes the development of a new Supported Accommodation Service in Irvine. Your team would have a close connection to supporting this Service development due to the connection for some young people. As part of the Throughcare, Aftercare and Unaccompanied Children's team you would have a crucial role in contributing to a relationship and rights based approach in assessment and (brighter) Pathways planning. You would be working alongside young people with experience, as well as working with other teams across the HSCP, and other agencies to ensure young people are safe from harm and have access to all available support and offers of assistance. This may also include support when our young people become parents and therefore we are not only (corporate) parents, but grandparents too, Scotland made a commitment in 2020 to change. As well as having knowledge of statutory frameworks, contextual safeguarding and protection approaches, we are looking for an individual who brings energy, adaptability and light.
