Job description
<p><p> We're looking for a skilled <b> Maintenance Fitter </b> to join a mobile engineering team operating across sites in central Scotland. This is a varied and hands-on role within a well-established organisation that values quality work, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Dayshift/Backshift position </p><p> You'll play a key role in ensuring plant performance, reliability, and availability through both planned and reactive maintenance activities. </p><p><b> Key Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li> Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance </li><li> Maintain plant condition and performance to support operational schedules </li><li> Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical systems </li><li> Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues </li></ul><p><b> About You </b></p><ul><li> Experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role </li><li> Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills </li><li> Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems </li><li> Knowledge of high-speed rotating equipment </li><li> Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics </li><li> Welding and fabrication skills desirable </li><li> Comfortable using IT systems and reporting tools </li><li> Strong awareness of health & safety practices </li></ul><p><b> What's on Offer </b></p><ul><li> Overtime paid at enhanced rates (time and a half / double time)</li><li> Company vehicle for day-to-day duties </li><li>28 days holiday (including statutory days)</li><li> Ongoing training and development opportunities </li><li> Supportive and inclusive working environment </li></ul>
