Materials & Inventory Controller

<p><p> A manufacturing business in Fife is looking to recruit a Materials & Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy and inventory control across the site. </p><p> This is a newly created role introduced to strengthen stock integrity and improve operational efficiency across the business. Working closely with the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, Finance, Operations, and warehouse teams, you will play a key role in ensuring stock records accurately reflect physical inventory at all times. </p><p> This position offers genuine responsibility and would suit someone who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives on accuracy, and takes pride in keeping systems and processes organised and running properly. </p><p><b> Key Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li> Maintain accurate stock records and process stock movements within the ERP system </li><li> Process goods receipts and reconcile deliveries against purchase orders and supplier documentation </li><li> Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and variances </li><li> Coordinate monthly cycle counts, stock checks, and annual stock audits </li><li> Support Finance with stock reconciliations and month-end reporting </li><li> Monitor inventory levels and highlight shortages or slow-moving stock </li><li> Coordinate logistics appointments for incoming deliveries </li><li> Support warehouse and dispatch activity during busy periods </li><li> Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on stock accuracy and operational performance </li></ul><p></p><p><b> Skills & Experience </b></p><ul><li> Previous experience within stock control, inventory, stores, or warehouse operations </li><li> Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment </li><li> ERP/MRP or stock management system experience </li><li> Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills </li><li> Confident investigating discrepancies and resolving issues </li><li> A proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to work across departments </li><li> Experience supporting audited stock counts and reconciliations </li></ul><p> This is an excellent opportunity to join a business investing in operational improvement, where you can make a visible impact from day one. </p><p> <b> Our client offers: </b></p><ul><li> Early Friday Finish </li><li> Yearly Bonus </li><li> Support with development </li></ul>
