Internal Sales Engineer

<p> Internal Sales Engineer <p><b> Location: </b> Birmingham </p><p><b> Salary: </b> £30,000 – £35,000 + Profit Share + Benefits </p><p><b> Hours: </b> Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM </p><p></p><p><b> The Role </b></p><p> An opportunity for a technically minded <b> Internal Sales Engineer </b> to join a well-established business within the engineering and materials sector. </p><p></p><p> You’ll be responsible for managing an existing customer base and also bringing in new business, handling technical enquiries, and supporting the sales process from quotation through to order. This is a fast-paced, team-focused role with scope to develop into business development. </p><p></p><p><b> Key Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li> Manage and develop a portfolio of existing accounts (200–300 customers)</li><li> Respond to enquiries and interpret technical drawings </li><li> Prepare and follow up on quotations (5–10 per day)</li><li> Maintain regular customer contact (20–30 interactions daily)</li><li> Provide updates on orders and build strong relationships </li><li> Use CRM to manage workload and priorities </li></ul><p></p><p> Requirements </p><p><b> Essential: </b></p><ul><li>12+ months’ experience in sales </li><li> Strong communication and organisational skills </li><li> Confident dealing with customers </li></ul><p></p><p><b> Desirable: </b></p><ul><li> Engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication background </li><li> Ability to read technical drawings </li><li> Understanding of CNC machining or fabrication processes </li></ul><p></p><p> About You </p><ul><li> Resilient and able to handle rejection </li><li> Proactive and well organised </li><li> Strong relationship builder </li><li> Team player with a positive attitude </li></ul><p></p><p> Benefits </p><ul><li> Profit share (paid twice yearly)</li><li>28 days holiday + bank holidays </li><li> Private healthcare </li><li> Pension scheme </li><li> Regular salary reviews </li></ul><p></p>
