HV Electrical Design Engineer

<p><b> HV Design Engineer </b><p> London Area </p><p>£65-68 an hour </p><p>12 Month Initial Contract </p><p></p><p><b> Essential Skillset: </b></p><ul><li> Design HV and LV electrical systems for solar projects </li><li> Produce and review Single Line Diagrams </li><li> Manage grid connection applications and liaise directly with DNOs </li><li> Strong understanding of Grid Code requirements including G99 and G100</li><li> Specify primary plant including transformers, switchgear, protection systems, inverters, and metering </li><li> Support protection design and relay settings in line with DNO requirements </li><li> Review and respond to DNO technical queries and connection offers </li><li> Provide technical support through FAT/SAT and commissioning </li><li> Ensure compliance with BS, IEC, ENA standards and project-specific requirements </li><li> Support design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises </li><li> Experience with grid modelling tools such as ETAP or similar </li><li> Strong experience within solar PV, renewables, or power generation sector </li><li> Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)</li></ul><p></p>
