Head of Finance

<p><p> P&L Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client based in <b> Glasgow </b>to recruit a Head of Finance. This is a senior, influential finance leadership role for someone who wants their expertise to make a tangible difference. </p><p></p><p><b> The Role </b></p><p></p><p> As Head of Finance, you will work directly with the CEO and trustees, shaping how the organisation plans, spends and sustains its work. You'll bring clarity and confidence to decision-making in a complex publicly funded environment. Reporting to the Chief Executive, your key responsibilities will be: </p><p></p><ul><li> Own statutory accounts and lead the annual audit under Charities SORP </li><li> Act as the organisation’s principal financial advisor to the CEO and trustees </li><li> Support the Board and Finance sub committee with clear, confident papers and recommendations </li><li> Ensure strong financial policies, controls and regulatory compliance </li><li> Shape financial input to commissioning, contract negotiations and service development </li><li> Lead the evolution of finance systems, processes and reporting to support future needs </li><li> Lead annual budgeting </li><li> Maintain tight grip on cashflow </li><li> Partner with Managers to address budget pressures </li><li> Ensure timely, accurate processing across payroll, income and payments </li></ul><p></p><p> Main requirements: </p><p></p><ul><li> Qualified, Part Qualified, or Qualified by experience Accountant with management level finance experience </li><li> Working knowledge of audits </li><li> Charity sector background would be desirable </li><li> Confidence presenting financial insight </li><li> A pragmatic delivery-focused mindset with good judgment and integrity </li></ul><p></p><p> This is a fantastic role for a Finance Manager looking for real autonomy and to make that next move!
