<p><p> Fish Shop Manager – Crieff, Perthshire </p><p><b> Fish in Crieff (Ochil Foods Ltd)</b></p><p> Full-time – Tuesday to Friday, 7am–4:30pm (with scope for Saturday hours)</p><p><b> Salary: £13–£15 per hour, depending on experience </b></p><p></p><p> We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced retail manager to lead our fish shop in Crieff. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a well-loved, independent Scottish food business that has been trading since 1978. </p><p> If you’re passionate about great food, enjoy working with customers, and want to build real skills in fresh fish and seafood, this could be the perfect next step for you. </p><p> What you’ll be doing </p><p> You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the shop — leading a small team of 3–4 staff, keeping standards high, the display looking its best, and customers coming back. Your duties will include: </p><p>• Leading, motivating and supporting a team of 3–4 staff </p><p>• Serving customers and taking orders for collection and delivery </p><p>• Maintaining the fresh fish display and retail presentation throughout the day </p><p>• Stock rotation, date checking, and ordering retail products as needed </p><p>• Daily temperature checks and cleaning duties in line with food hygiene standards </p><p>• Opening and closing procedures and general shop management </p><p> As you settle into the role, you’ll also receive one-to-one training from our head filleter in fish preparation skills including shucking oysters and scallops, peeling and deveining prawns and langoustines, and skinning, pin-boning and portioning fish fillets. </p><p> What we’re looking for </p><p>• A background in food retail, fishmonger, deli, butchery or similar </p><p>• Experience leading or supervising a small team </p><p>• A genuine passion for quality food and excellent customer service </p><p>• Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude </p><p>• Commercial awareness — you’ll understand what sells and why </p><p>• Food hygiene certificate desirable, though training can be provided </p><p> What we offer </p><p>• £13–£15 per hour, neg. depending on experience </p><p>• Staff discount on our range of fresh fish, seafood and speciality food products </p><p>• One-to-one training in professional fish preparation from our head filleter </p><p>• A friendly, close-knit team in a well-established independent business </p><p>• The chance to develop genuinely rare skills in a specialist food trade </p><p> Why join us?</p><p> Ochil Foods has been at the heart of Scottish food for over 45 years.
