<p><p> Finance Manager - Glasgow (Hybrid)<p></p><p><b> Pay Rate: 330 - 370 per day (PAYE only)</b></p><p> We are currently recruiting for a <b> Finance Manager </b> to join a high-performing team within the renewables sector on a <b>6-month contract </b> , based in <b> Glasgow </b> . This is a hybrid role with approximately <b>50% office attendance </b> , offering flexibility (e.g. 2 days one week, 3 the next). </p><p> </p><p> This position requires an experienced Finance Manager who can hit the ground running and take ownership of financial control activities within an operational onshore wind portfolio. </p><p></p> Key Details: <p></p><ul><li> Location: Glasgow, G2 (Hybrid - 50% office based)</li><li> Duration: 6 months </li><li> Start: 01/06/2026</li><li> Hours: 37 hours per week </li><li> Security Clearance: BPSS required </li><li> Travel: Not required </li><li> Interview Process: Teams interview with hiring manager </li></ul><p></p> The Role: <br><br><p> You will oversee financial control of a wholly owned operational onshore wind portfolio within a Centre of Excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth month-end close processes, and compliance with statutory requirements. </p><p></p> Key Responsibilities: <p></p><ul><li> Lead the month-end process, including review and approval of key journals </li><li> Manage and oversee balance sheet reconciliations in line with Group policies </li><li> Take ownership of year-end and half-year processes, including statutory accounts preparation and audit </li><li> Lead annual statutory audits, working closely with external auditors </li><li> Manage, mentor, and develop accountants and finance analysts </li><li> Oversee the transition of completed development projects into the operational portfolio </li><li> Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting </li></ul><p></p> Requirements: <p></p><ul><li> Fully qualified accountant with relevant experience in industry or practice </li><li> Strong knowledge of IFRS and FRS101 accounting standards </li><li> Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop teams </li><li> Experience producing financial statements and working with auditors </li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li> Ability to manage competing deadlines and stakeholder expectations </li><li> Solid understanding of financial systems and accounting procedures </li><li> Excellent communication skills and a professional, flexible approach </li></ul><p> Interested?
