<p><p><b> DevOps Engineer - Azure - Public Sector - Outside IR35</b></p><p><b> Day Rate - up to 500 (Outside)</b></p><p><b> Duration - 3 months with a view to extend </b></p><p> Harvey Nash's Client are hiring a contract DevOps Engineer, you will help in developing IT disaster recovery scripts for a set number of applications for business-critical Chamber IT services. </p><p> Assignment will include concurrent testing and troubleshooting for all ITDR scripts to: </p><ul><li> Validate that scripts would recover all in-scope applications effectively </li><li> Confirm RTOs for both individual application recovery and overall recovery of all in-scope applications. </li></ul><p><b> Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li> Liasing with IT Disaster Recovery Project Team to deliver scripts (Bicep, PowerShell, AZCLI) to automate the creation of Azure environments for remaining in-scope applications. </li><li> Creation of pipelines (Azure DevOps) to enable the automated running of scripts in the building of environments and deploying code to these environments through pipelines. </li><li> Running scripts, including any manual steps, ensuring all dependent environments/applications (APIs, Database connections, permissions, key vaults etc) are correctly connected. </li><li> Ability to troubleshoot issues or errors within DR scripts as required. </li><li> Undertake technical testing and script iteration to ensure environments are built correctly. </li><li> Reviewing the deployed application in the DR site in conjunction with internal team to confirm DR scripts function correctly. </li><li> Completion of individual and concurrent testing of all DR scripts to confirm: </li><ul><li> that the deployed runbook of scripts work as required </li><li> the RTOs for individual and concurrent application recovery. </li></ul><li> Delivery of application script documentation and guidance </li></ul><ul><li> Knowledge transfer with internal developers to ensure thorough knowledge handover throughout contract </li></ul><p><b> Skills & Experience Required </b></p><ul><li> Extensive Bicep expertise </li><li> Scripting including AZCLI and PowerShell </li><li> Pipeline configuration experience </li><li> Azure deployment and infrastructure Pipeline build </li><li> Experience of building scripts from existing architecture diagrams </li><li> Practical application and management of networking and security settings </li><li> Azure Cloud experience including applications services, DNS, application gateways, SQL database, logic apps, web application firewall rules </li><li> Experience in GIT </li><li> Troubleshooting using Azure tools e.g. application insights </li><li> Azure DevOps tools expertise </li><li> Azure DevOps knowledge transfer and stakeholder management expertise. </li></ul><p> Please note that Counter Terrorism Clearance is required for this role, please only apply if eligible. </p><p></p> To <br> From <br> Record Yes No <p></p> Always use these settings <p></p>
