Job description
<p><h2> Advert </h2><p> Crossing Patrol (Permanent) (7/30205)<br> Lochmaben Primary School <br>£4,593.44 - £4,672.37</p><p> You will work 7.5 hours per week. (1.5 hours daily – estimated 8.20am-9.20am, and 2.50pm-3.20pm weekdays) over 38 weeks per year. </p><p> You will assist school pupils in crossing a potentially busy highway, undertake duties concerned with the safe passage of school children and other pedestrians across the road to and from school. </p><p> For example, control and direction of traffic at crossings areas, operation of hazard warning signs and identification of any roadside hazards. </p><p> The control of the behaviour of children at crossing areas is a major requirement of the job. </p><p> The post will involve working in all weather conditions. </p><p> The post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. As from 28 February 2011, preferred candidates are required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries & Galloway Council. </p><p> Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident. </p><p> The above salary includes a current living wage supplement. </p><p> For further information please contact: Mark Adams, Community Assets Officer Nithsdale on 03033333000 ext. 60780. </p>
