Job description
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our cyber security business through new logo acquisition. This role is focused on identifying, qualifying, and developing net-new customer opportunities across target sectors, positioning our cyber security portfolio to address customer risk, compliance, and resilience challenges.
The successful candidate will be commercially astute, comfortable opening doors into new organisations, and confident engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will work closely with pre-sales, marketing, and vendor partners to build a credible pipeline of new opportunities and convert them into long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and engage net-new customer accounts within defined target markets
Develop and execute a structured new business acquisition strategy aligned to company growth objectives
Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, partner referrals, marketing campaigns, and industry events
Lead discovery conversations to understand customer cyber security challenges, risks, and strategic priorities
Position relevant cyber security solutions and services, including (but not limited to) network security, cloud security, endpoint, SOC/XDR, managed services, and consultancy
Own the sales cycle from initial engagement through to close, working closely with pre-sales and delivery teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners to support co-selling, technical engagement, and deal qualification
Maintain accurate opportunity management and forecasting within the CRM system
Meet or exceed agreed new business revenue, pipeline, and activity targets
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Proven experience in a new business / hunter sales role, ideally within cyber security or technology services
Track record of winning new logos and building pipeline from scratch
Ability to sell complex, consultative solutions rather than transactional products
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C‑level and senior stakeholders
Commercial awareness and disciplined approach to opportunity qualification
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Desirable:
Experience selling cyber security solutions such as firewalls, XDR, SIEM/SOC, SASE, vulnerability management, or security consultancy
Knowledge of public sector, enterprise, or regulated industries
Experience working with vendor-led opportunities and joint go-to-market activity
