<p><b> Job Summary </b><p> TeamJobs is recruiting an experienced <b> Advanced Electrical Engineer (Electronics)</b> to support the design and development of advanced electronic controllers used within <b> Environmental Control Systems and Life Support Systems </b> for aerospace applications. </p><p></p><p> You will join a multidisciplinary <b> Electronic Controllers team </b> , responsible for delivering high-integrity hardware integrated with specialised software to meet stringent aerospace and safety requirements. </p><p></p><p> The successful candidate will have strong analogue and digital circuit design experience, ideally gained within aerospace or another highly regulated industry. </p><p></p><p><b> Location: </b> Yeovil, Somerset </p><p><b><em> Candidates looking to relocate are considered </em></b></p><p></p><p><b> Employment Type: </b> Contract (with potential for extension)</p><p><b> Work Model: </b> Hybrid – typically 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, with periods of increased on-site presence depending on project phase. </p><p><b>37hours per week, <em> Monday -Thursday 9am-4pm and finish at 12pm on Friday. </em></b></p><p></p><p><b><em> Pay rate: around £72 per hour. </em></b></p><p></p><p></p><p><b> Key Responsibilities </b></p><p></p><ul><li> Support the full end-to-end electronics design lifecycle, from concept through production and in-service support </li><li> Define and document electronics requirements, design plans, and technical specifications </li><li> Design analogue and digital circuits, progressing concepts through to PCB layouts and full manufacturing drawing packs </li><li> Produce all required design, verification, and test documentation to support certification and manufacture </li><li> Participate in design reviews, clearly presenting technical content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders </li><li> Ensure compliance with relevant quality processes, standards, and regulatory requirements </li><li> Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams and external suppliers to support new product introduction, including PCB build, assembly, testing, and system integration </li><li> Provide expert technical support for manufacturing issues and in-service investigations across the product range </li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b> Required Qualifications & Experience </b></p><ul><li> Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline </li><li> Minimum 5 years’ electronics design experience within aerospace or another highly regulated industry (e.g. nuclear, rail)</li><li> Strong understanding of electronics design principles and industry best practices </li><li> Proficiency in low-power digital circuit design </li><li> Solid understanding of low-frequency analogue interface design </li><li> Experience using industry-standard ECAD tools (Mentor Graphics preferred)</li><li> Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) methodologies </li><li> Familiarity with EMC design and qualification requirements </li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li> Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail. </li></ul><p></p><p><b><em> Due to security requirements on this site all worker's nationality needs to be UK, EU or NATO. </em></b></p><p></p><p><b><em> Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening. </em></b></p><p></p>
