Senior Ecologist- permanent role

Ecologist Location: Flexible with travel to sites across the UKSalary: £30-40k + Car + Excellent BenefitsAssured Safety Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an Ecologist to join its established Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSQE) team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Ecologist looking to broaden their experience across civil engineering, construction, infrastructure and maintenance projects. The role offers exposure to a diverse range of environments and the chance to develop your career within a supportive and forward thinking organisation.The Role As an Ecologist, you'll support a variety of ecological and environmental activities across multiple projects, including: Undertaking pre-construction ecological surveys, including protected species and invasive non-native species (INNS).Carrying out bird nesting surveys and ecological site inspections.Supporting the preparation of Environmental Management Plans.Visiting live construction sites to undertake environmental audits and inspections.Assisting with waste sampling, classification and environmental monitoring.Delivering toolbox talks and environmental awareness training.Monitoring water quality and environmental controls during construction activities.A degree in Ecology or a related Environmental discipline.Experience within ecology, ideally supporting construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects.A sound understanding of UK environmental legislation.The ability to work across multiple projects and build positive relationships with site teams.A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.The opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects across the UK.Ongoing professional development and support towards Chartership.A role offering genuine career progression and the chance to make a real impact.
