We are looking for an experienced Java / Spark / Scala Developer to join our team in Glasgow . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development experience in Java, Apache Spark, and Scala , with a passion for building scalable, high-performance data processing applications. Knowledge of AI/ML concepts will be considered a strong advantage. Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Scala, and Apache Spark Build and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities Contribute to architecture and design discussions for data-intensive applications 5–8 years of software development experience ~ Strong hands-on expertise in Java ~ Solid programming skills in Scala ~ Experience in developing and optimizing distributed data processing applications ~ Good understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and code quality ~ Exposure to AI / Machine Learning concepts or projects Experience working in data engineering or big data environments Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data architectures is a plus Exposure to modern data and AI-driven technologies Career growth opportunities within a dynamic team
