We are seeking a motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Edmonton team and help deliver impactful projects in our community.The successful candidate will work closely with a local team of 30 geotechnical professionals based out of Edmonton, supported by a wider, regional team of over 200 geotechnical professionals. Leverage cutting-edge tools (UAVs, AI-integrated solutions) and contribute to Stantec’s Innovation Office and Digital Center of Excellence.Lead and Deliver Projects: Manage and execute small to mid-sized geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, including planning, analysis, reporting, and client communication.Apply your expertise to complex analyses, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables.Team Management: Lead and coordinate small project teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the advancement of our technical capabilities.Access to innovative tools and technology, empowering you to deliver high-quality solutions.Work on complex and diverse projects of varying sizes, expanding your technical and project management skillsCollaborate and grow within a global, multidisciplinary team leveraging worldwide expertise.Ongoing opportunities for professional development and leadership pathways.Flexible work environment that promotes a balanced lifestyle. Education and ExperienceMinimum of a post graduate degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university.Valid Canadian driver's license with access to a vehicle.Residing in Edmonton, Alberta, or willing to relocate.The successful candidate will be required to primarily work in a typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
