We are looking for a skilled and motivated Repairs Inspector to join our Property Services Team.This is a key technical role responsible for delivering a comprehensive and high-quality surveying service, with a strong focus on Mechanical Electrical (M&E) works, responsive repairs, voids, and damp & mould programmes. You will carry out pre- and post-inspections, manage works in progress, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and support the effective delivery of contracts.You will work closely with colleagues across Property Services and Housing, supporting our front-line teams and contributing to excellent customer outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver pre- and post-inspections of responsive repairs, void works, and damp & mould casesDiagnose repairs, prepare detailed specifications and raise works orders using NHF Schedule of RatesSupervise and monitor M&E works to ensure quality, compliance, and value for moneyManage works through to completion, including quality control and invoice sign-offEnsure all works comply with statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirementsMaintain accurate records within housing management and stock condition systemsContribute to contractor performance monitoring and contract complianceLead on investigating and resolving property-related complaintsSupport procurement activities, tender analysis and administration of JCT minor works contractsParticipate in out-of-hours rota where requiredWhat Were Looking ForEssentialElectrical qualification minimum City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)Experience supervising and inspecting Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) worksExperience in social housing property services, particularly pre/post inspection of repairs and voidsExperience managing damp and mould work programmesStrong knowledge of health & safety in repairs and maintenance servicesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage workload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlinesIT literate, including Microsoft Office and housing management systemsFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business useDesirableExperience working within the social housing sectorKnowledge of JCT minor works contractsExperience working in a challenging, fast-paced environmentIn return, we can offer you:Over 6 weeks holiday per annum (rising with service)Buy or sell up to one weeks holiday per annumEmployee paid DBS checksOccupational sick payEmployer contributory pension scheme4 x Life AssuranceMedical Cash Back PlanYulife?Employee Assistance & Rewards ProgrammeCycle to work schemeFull training and induction programmeAbout usEvolve is a leading homelessness charity in London, providing housing and support to over 1,300 people each year.Our aim is to help children, young people and adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to become independent and resilient.
